Student ServicesStudent Services is here to support you! Counselors are assigned to students based on the student’s last name and can assist in three major areas: Academic, Career, and Social/Emotional counseling. Academic support includes assisting students with course selection and scheduling aligned with their career and college goals. SENIOR CONFERENCES will begin mid-September to provide individual support with all aspects of the college application process and post-secondary planning. Career exploration and counseling is provided to help students match their strengths, abilities, and interests with potential career options. Our FVHS Career Development Coordinator, Dr. Emily Jessee, is another important resource. Visit her website at: fuquaycareers.weebly.com Social/Emotional support for our students is offered in many areas, including managing stress, anxiety, grief, conflict, and other personal and social issues. We maintain confidentiality unless there is a threat of harm to self or others. Because the social/emotional well-being of our students is of the utmost importance, there is an SAP (Student Assistance Program) Counselor whose role is specifically to provide social/emotional support services to all students. Be sure to get to know your counselor! We will continue to provide these services to all students remotely and virtually.
